Why does street art matter to me? Well as a former graffiti artist, I know there is a level of respect between artist’s when someone produces “great art”. From my experiences, great street art is a one of the best deterrents for unwanted graffiti or tagging due to that level of respect.
Also traveling to places like Melbourne, Australia and seeing a city filled with street art the city comes to life, and it even becomes part of the cities identity. It’s not for EVERY city, but those who dare to be bold and forward, “Street Art Matters”.
